The site

Winsaip publishes explanations and browser-based learning tools about remote file transfer. The tools do not connect to your servers. You remain responsible for every session you open in your own software.

A legal operator, mailing address, and governing-law venue are not published. These terms do not invent a contracting company or a court. They still set the limits of what the pages are for.

Educational limits

The guides are general technical writing. They can be incomplete, and they can fall behind a software release. Following them does not guarantee a successful connection, a recovered file, or a secure server. Screens and command options can differ by version. When they do, the Help button and the current documentation from the software developer control.

Examples use placeholder names such as files.example.com and example-user. They are not credentials.

Your authority to connect

Use the information only on systems you are allowed to access. The pages are not instructions for breaking into a server, bypassing a host-key warning, or guessing passwords. You are responsible for complying with the rules of the network and the host you use.

No software distribution

Winsaip does not provide installers. Links to winscp.net go to that project’s own site and are labeled that way. Downloading, installing, and licensing decisions happen there, under that project’s terms, not under a Winsaip product license. Winsaip does not grant you a license to that application.

Names

Winsaip is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the developers of WinSCP. WinSCP and other product names used on the pages belong to their owners. They are used here so the educational material can refer to the software accurately. Nothing on the site assigns Winsaip any ownership of those names or any right to speak for their owners.

Acceptable use of these pages

You may read the pages and use the tools in your browser. Do not present the site as an official support channel, and do not copy the pages into a form that implies Winsaip ships the software or operates a remote-support business. Do not submit secrets to the tools. The tools are not a place to store them. Site questions go to the published email. There is no message form.

Liability

The pages are provided as educational material. To the extent the law allows a publisher in this situation to limit liability, Winsaip is not liable for lost files, exposed credentials, service interruption, or decisions you make on a server. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits. Where that is the case, the limit applies only as far as the law permits. This sentence is not a claim that a particular court has reviewed the site.

Changes

When the pages or these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page should change with them. Continuing to read the site after an update means you are reading the current text. There is no account to notify.
